Hotel Mont Gelé

During the summer months Verbier is buzzing with an abundance of outdoor and cultural activities as well as internationally renowned events, including the Tour de France.
Ski Verbier is delighted to open our chalet style Hotel Mont Gelé to visitors from 15th July – 5th August 2009, ideally located within walking distance of the town centre.
The hotel is run exclusively by Ski Verbier on a B&B basis with afternoon tea served each day. A choice of lunch or evening BBQ is prepared by our chef and can be enjoyed from the large South facing balcony and terrace.
There are 15 twin/double bedrooms in the Hotel Mont Gelé. Some rooms have ensuite shower rooms and others have private shower rooms, many have their own south facing balconies. Each room has a Flat screen television with DVD player and an iPod docking station.

Le Tour de France 19th – 21st July
For the first time ever, the 15th stage of the tour will finish late in the afternoon in Verbier on Sunday 19th July. The last ascent serpenting between Le Châble and Verbier is 8.5 km over 700m of elevation and is certain to be one of the highlights of the race! On the next day, the teams will enjoy a day of rest. The Tour de France will start again on the 21st July to finish in Bourg-St-Maurice. Over three days Verbier and Martigny will enjoy some exceptional moments dedicated to this major event in cycle racing.

Verbier Festival 17th July – 2nd August
With a line-up of the world‘s top classical artists performing unique concert programmes, the 15th Verbier Festival offers 17 days of world class music set in the extraordinarily scenic Swiss Alps. This season‘s programme ranges from orchestral concerts to opera and chamber music.
The atmosphere created by the Verbier festival spreads in to the cafes and bars in resort with free concerts, public workshops and open rehearsals for visitors to enjoy.

Verbier hosts every conceivable alpine summer activity from Golf on the 18 hole Les Esserts course to the Verbier bike park, making use of the undulating terrain of the mountains, mountain bikers are spoilt for choice with limitless opportunity to explore the alps. Rock climbing, paragliding, trekking, horse riding, high wires course; more than enough to keep any alpine enthusiast busy for a short or long stay.

Guests can relax after a day on the mountain in the hotel’s sauna or watch a film in the comfortable cinema room.

Hotel Mont Gelé is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the centre of Verbier. Many of the excellent bars and restaurants have flower covered terraces from where you can enjoy the sunshine at lunch time or drinks in the evening.
